Our mission is to magnify God by bringing people to Jesus and membership into His family, developing them into spiritual maturity, and equipping them for ministry in the church, nation, and world.

“We His servants will arise and build…”  Nehemiah 2:20

“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord.”  Zachariah 4:6

"As your pastor, I am asking every member and adherent of this church to join me in praying for the leadership of His Spirit in this campaign.

These next three years will stretch all of us...but by God's grace, this will be our finest hour."

Pastor Steve Shinn

CAMPAIGN CASE FOR SUPPORT
By Sam Yarbrough, Campaign Director

Nehemiah 2:18 - “Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.”

We believe God has called First Assembly to a new expansion of His reach both in our community and abroad. God has watched from inside our hearts and parallels our thoughts of growth of His kingdom.

Godly children are the hope of our world and He has placed our property where both children and parents would be drawn by His presence. A place where children can have the time of their lives, but they are faithfully taught about God and His Son Jesus by truly-caring instructors through the power of the Holy Ghost. They will learn principles of life here that will stand them in good stead all the days of their life.

We are entering a significant period in the history of our church. An era many pastors and disciples have both yearned for, and spoke about for many years. God has touched our church with a new challenge to “Feed His Sheep.” God has challenged us to grow His kingdom locally through outreach into this community and globally through support of Missions. Because of the magnitude of the challenge, each person in our congregation will be asked to pray about a sacrificial commitment over and above our tithes, for three years. This will take great faith and commitment for us to meet the challenge, but God is with us and will lead us through this exciting time in the life of First Assembly of God, Loris, SC.

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My
righteous right hand.”
CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW

Our Church has entered a Capital Stewardship Campaign designed to encourage, educate, excite, and engage everyone in our church in the principles of Biblical Stewardship.

1.     SPIRITUAL PURPOSE

A Stewardship Campaign is designed to:

Create                    awareness
Disseminate            information
Encourage              fellowship
Build                      relationships
Cultivate                 prayer
Enlist                     ownership & commitment

Prayer and the discovery of God’s will in giving will be the major issues. Our sole aim is to Build Stewardship into a Lifestyle of Discipleship. This effort is not an attempt to pressure or coerce. It is the recognition that the spiritual goals of prayer and sacrifice are more critical than the financial goals.

2.     FINANCIAL PURPOSE

The financial purpose is a journey, voluntarily taken, to discover through prayer and faith what financial gift God would have each of us contribute to the capital development needs of the church over the next 36 months.

3.     CAMPAIGN CHARACTERISTICS
  • Giving is to be “over & above. . .”
  • Biblical model is 1 Chronicles 29:1-22.
  • Giving commitments will be for 36 months.
  • Giving by definition will always cost us something.
  • Giving is to be in response to the leadership of His Spirit

      4.     THE CAMPAIGN THEME

“I will not offer to God that which cost me nothing.” 2 Samuel 24:24

      “TOGETHER WE CAN”
